Meet Paul's team

“For me, it’s all about investment in the client”

Paul is a Partner in our Construction & Engineering team. Paul specialises in high value and complex litigation, predominantly involving defective building works and the issues arising out of the same. Paul has wide ranging experience in construction, engineering, and commercial litigation disputes, as well as professional negligence, product liability, defective works and contractual disputes. Paul typically works with leaseholders, managing agents, developers and other interested parties.

“For me, it’s all about investment in the client. I am totally committed to providing the best possible outcome for my clients by investing time, hard work and knowledge into any particular matter I am dealing with”.

Thinking outside the box

Making a difference and often changing people’s lives in the event of success makes the hard work worthwhile for Paul.  He describes his working style as “relentless” and, he says, “I am totally invested in any matter I am dealing with. I’m very focused, and will do everything I can to achieve success for the client”.

Paul notes one of his strengths as being able to think outside of the box, a skill which comes in handy when dealing with large leaseholder groups that need careful managing.  This challenging aspect of his role requires good organisation and a team of highly skilled lawyers.

“I am a partner in a team that predominantly fights for the underdog. The team is full of skilled lawyers, who I am proud to work with”.

Paul started his career in insurance, before  moving to Irwin Mitchell and then Walker Morris, where he studied for his law degree (part-time). After leaving to gain his LPC, Paul returned to Walker Morris as a trainee in 2009. He made Partner in 2018.

Paul was shortlisted for Associate Solicitor of the Year at the British Legal Awards 2015 and he is developing an enviable reputation in the contentious construction space.
