The legal expertise of Walker Morris’ lawyers was recognised once again in the latest edition of the independent guide to the legal profession, Legal 500 UK, which was published yesterday.

Walker Morris has 10 lawyers ranked as ‘Leading Individuals’ which is more individuals than any other law firm in the region.  In addition, the firm received 49 recommendations for its lawyers. The 10 leading individuals comprise: Ian Gilbert, Trudy Feaster-Gee, Jeremy Scholes, Gwendoline Davies, Malcolm Simpson, Michael Taylor, Andrew Bennett, Jeremy Moore, Tom Peel, Martin Scott.

Commenting on the Firm’s success, Managing Partner Ian Gilbert said:

“It’s down to the quality of our people. As the largest single site law firm without a London office, Walker Morris occupies a distinctive position in the legal marketplace.  We have a strategy of investing in high calibre expertise and developing specialist practice areas such as Pensions and Financial Services, which are unusual for law firms outside London.

“This expertise combined with our single location enables us to offer cohesive best value advice which has found favour with our clients both locally but also nationally and internationally.”

Ian Gilbert’s comments were supported by Legal 500 which described Walker Morris as continuing “to attract high-profile regional work and a strong national and international client base”.

Walker Morris continued to have a strong performance in Legal 500 across the whole firm and is now ranked either in tier 1 or tier 2 across 23 practice areas and has a national ranking for ‘corporate flotations small and mid-cap’.
