Walker Morris joins Sustainable Recruitment Alliance

Walker Morris is proud to join the Sustainable Recruitment Alliance (SRA) – encouraging all those involved in the graduate recruitment industry to take a more environmentally friendly approach to attracting new talent.

As a member of the Alliance we have pledged to review, reduce and report on our graduate recruitment processes and find greener, mores sustainable alternatives.

Every year thousands of pens, brochures and other giveaways are sent straight to landfill. By reducing the use of physical merchandise, as well as limiting travel to recruitment events, we hope to take small steps to improving recruitment processes to reduce our carbon footprint and our impact on the environment.

With over half a million graduate vacancies and apprenticeships annually, it is hoped that the results of the collective action of the SRA could be significant. Read more about our sustainable recruitment initiatives here.

Tracy Foley, Head of HR at Walker Morris added:

“We felt it was important to look at our graduate recruitment processes as part of our wider firm initiatives to reduce our impact on the environment. It’s one of the many small but important steps were taking as a firm to look at how we can positively respond to the impact of climate change.”
