At the heart of the fight against climate change is the UK government’s binding commitment to eliminate greenhouse gas emissions (Net Zero) by 2050 – a target enshrined in UK law.
Delivering this commitment requires far-reaching changes in energy, land, infrastructure (transport and buildings), agriculture, manufacturing, resource management and industrial systems.
In response to this, Walker Morris has launched a free eBook, ‘The Power of Zero’ to help businesses think about how they will have to adapt. While no one has all the answers yet, ‘The Power of Zero’ offers a practical guide to help businesses to ask the right questions, start new conversations and work towards the correct answers for their business.
Ben Sheppard, partner at Walker Morris commented:
“One thing that Covid-19 has demonstrated is the importance of resilience and sustainability in our supply chains, economy and infrastructure. It has also shown us just how big the scale of change needs to be to achieve the UK’s Net Zero ambitions. The good news is that we have the opportunity to change. Adapting to clean energy and low carbon infrastructure will be central to building a resilient economy. It’s not going to happen overnight but we hope our eBook will help businesses with practical advice, wherever they are on their journey to Net Zero.”
