Billing Administrator

An opportunity has arisen for a Billing Administrator to join our accounts team. Walker Morris has a bold vision for the future and in order to help us meet our commitment to that vision we believe in investing in the people at the heart of our accounts and revenue teams.

As part of the Finance team, the Legal Billing Administrator will take responsibility for standard & Electronic bill processing, as well as finance admin and accounts tasks. There is also the opportunity to be involved with finance related projects.

Typical duties will include; bill processing, disbursements, write offs, reversals, adding new contract rates, editing time entries, billing system queries & enquiries.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Process & post bills onto the billing system
  • Loading of all invoices onto the E-Billing platforms and making sure they adhere to the client’s requirements
  • Complete billing & rate tasks
  • Administration of the billing system to delete leavers & add new starters
  • Add agreed contract client rates to the billing system
  • Editing time entries on the time recording system
  • Process and deal with queries & enquiries received into the Billing Inbox (e.g. bill queries, rates and time recording)
  • Process and complete BI reports relating to billing and rates
  • Any other duties related to Billing as & when required
  • Ensure all matters meet compliance with ISO standards

Skills and experience:

  • PC literate with knowledge of Outlook and Excel.
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Can operate flexibly as part of a team
  • Self-motivated with a high level of enthusiasm and commitment

Information Security:

  • To ensure that information is handled in accordance with the firm’s policies and procedures relating to information security.
  • To encourage a security conscious culture within the firm, by supporting and engaging with the firm’s initiatives.
  • To proactively and promptly report any concerns/issues relating to information security.
  • To assist the firm in achieving its security objectives which are published in the Information Security Manual on Reach
