Director
Real Estate Litigation
Lewis is a Director in our Real Estate Litigation Team and works across a range of property litigation matters. Lewis is well known for advising landlords and tenants in relation to real estate disputes arising from their property portfolios; including contested lease renewals, rent reviews, dilapidations claims and forfeiture proceedings.
Lewis also provides advice and represents clients in relation to the renewal and termination of telecoms agreements under the Electronic Communications Code and works closely with the firm’s Technology Group.
Lewis works with clients ranging from national retailers and commercial investors, to commercial or residential developers.
Finding a solution for a client that is not just the legal answer, but a commercial and pragmatic one that will really benefit them, is enormously rewarding and something that drives Lewis in his approach to client work.
Lewis is motivated by learning about his client’s needs, so that he can become an integral part of their team and more easily find solutions to any problems they face.
There is often a need for urgency in litigation, which can be challenging, but by working cohesively with his clients as well as joining forces with lawyers from across the firm, Lewis strives to deliver the best possible solution.
Lewis is a natural problem solver and enjoys the opportunity to find tangible solutions to problems that working in real estate litigation presents.
Lewis has been regularly invited by RICS to speak at seminars on a range of property litigation matters. Lewis is also part of the firm’s Diversity and Inclusion group.
