Director
Real Estate
Kathryn is a Director in our Real Estate Group. She advises on a wide range of Real Estate transactions and is known for her expertise in renewable energy projects as well as advising on the land issues relevant to these kinds of developments.
Clients come to her for her well-rounded advice from site set up, to refinancing and all the way through to project disposal. Kathryn’s clients are typically developers, landowners, operators and investors in the renewable energy project sector, or organisations embarking on an infrastructure project.
Kathryn finds it hugely rewarding to see a project develop from site selection to being built and operational. This is especially the case on the renewable energy side, where knowing that it’s contributing to the transition to clean energy is really motivating.
Kathryn approaches her client work with the goal of building a relationship as a trusted advisor and she makes sure she is available as a point of contact for advice on projects from the outset. “Input at an early stage helps to facilitate a smooth transaction and means I can contribute to the project development”, she says.
When asked what her strengths are Kathryn points to her ability to consider the project as a whole and provide appropriate legal advice to achieve the desired outcome. Her thorough and organised approach to work is a key part of this.
“I take responsibility for the service my clients receive and give training and support to all members of the team working for my clients. This way I can be sure my clients get a consistent service and that the relationship I’ve built with them goes from strength to strength”.
Kathryn is a member of the Walker Morris Women in Leadership committee, is a trainee supervisor and works with Senior Knowledge Lawyers for the I&E know-how output – including articles and Horizon Scanner publications.
