Meet Daniel's teams

Head of International

Daniel is a Partner in our Corporate Group and is recognised as a leading lawyer for his work advising on mergers and acquisitions and equity capital markets transactions.

Daniel has particular experience in cross-border transactions and advising corporate, institutional, private equity and financial sponsor clients on both public and private M&A transactions and equity fundraisings.

Daniel chairs Walker Morris’ international committee and is responsible for the firm’s international work and relationships with other independent law firms around the world.

Daniel has been consistently recommended by the Chambers and Legal 500 legal directories for many years now, including in the latest editions (2021/22).  Daniel is recognised in the 2023 edition of Best Lawyers and has previously been listed in The Lawyer magazine’s “Hot 100” list as one of the leading corporate lawyers and dealmakers practising in the UK.

Daniel is also a trustee of the Hull Maritime Foundation and of Northern Broadsides Theatre Company.

Audax Private Equity

Advising Audax Private Equity on the $736m sale of identity verification and KYC/AML compliance provider, Acuant, Inc., to AIM-quoted GB Group Plc, including in relation to the equity financing arrangements and the rollover by Audax and certain of the Acuant vendors of part of their holdings in Acuant into the enlarged GB Group.

Bufab AB

Advising Swedish-listed group and C-parts supply chain provider, Bufab AB, on its acquisition of TI Midwood & Co for a purchase price of up to £74m.

Mattioli Woods Plc

Advising Mattioli Woods Plc on its £110m equity fundraising and its £100m acquisition of Maven Capital Partners and £43.5m acquisition of Ludlow Wealth Management.

Trexon

Advising US-group, Trexon, on its acquisition of the Hydro Group, the manufacturer of subsea connectivity products for use in the marine, renewable energy and defence industries.

Numis Securities

Advising Numis Securities (as nominated adviser and broker) on the £103.5m admission of Knights Group Holdings Plc to the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange and £50m equity fundraising.

Founders and management of SiPM

Advising the founders and management of e-learning solutions provider SiPM in connection with the sale of SiPM to Levine Leichtman Capital Partners (LLCP) and their reinvestment alongside LLCP.

Innovative Chemical Products (ICP) Group

Advising Innovative Chemical Products (ICP) Group, a global manufacturer of industrial coatings and building application products, in relation to various acquisitions including the acquisition of the Leeson Polyurethanes group and the Hi-Tech Coatings division of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG.

Laborie Medical Technologies

Advising Laborie Medical Technologies on its recommended takeover of Mediwatch Plc by scheme of arrangement; its acquisition of Netherlands headquartered group, Medical Measurement Systems; and on the UK aspects of the sale of the group to Patricia Industries.

Custodian REIT Plc

Advising Custodian REIT Plc on its £130m IPO on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange and its secondary fundraising to raise up to £75m.
